Please Note: Because of the home style boarding that we offer, we cannot accept intact males that are over 6 months of age or females that are close to a heat cycle. This is due to dog v. dog aggression issues.

We have provided our Boarding Contract so that you may further understand what is required of you and your dog before making a reservation for over night boarding.

You will be asked to read and sign this contract at the time of your dog’s acceptance into our daycare program.

I hereby certify that my dog(s) is/are in good health and have not been ill with any communicable condition in the last 30 days. I further certify that my dog(s) have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog. Playful Paws agrees to exercise due and reasonable care in the handling of all dogs, and in keeping the facility properly enclosed and sanitary. All dogs are cared for by Playful Paws without liability on Playful Paws behalf for loss or damage from disease, theft, fire, death, escape, injury, or harm to persons, other dogs, or property by said dog(s), or for other unavoidable causes.

I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING:

I understand that I am solely responsible for any harm caused by my dog(s) while my dog(s) is/are in the care of Playful Paws and release Playful Paws of any liability arising from my dog(s) while boarding with Playful Paws.

I recognize that there are inherent risks of illness or injury when animals are allowed to be in close contact with one another. Such risks include, but are not limited to, problems resulting from rough play and canine kennel cough (doggie colds/upper respiratory infection).

I further understand and agree that in admitting my dog(s) to Playful Paws, the staff at Playful Paws have relied on my representation that my dog(s) is/are in good health and have not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behaviour towards any person or any other dog.

I understand that my dog(s) will be playing in open areas with other dog(s) and accept that when dogs play in groups, they will get dirty, and nicks and scratches may occur, as well as any other inherent risks that are involved and I hereby release Playful Paws of any liability;

I further understand and agree that Playful Paws staff and volunteers will not be liable for any or all problems which may develop.

I further understand and agree that any problems which develop with my dog(s) will be treated as deemed by Playful Paws staff and volunteers, at their sole discretion, and that I assume full financial responsibility for any and all expenses involved if I or Playful Paws decides to obtain medical treatment.

I accept that if my dog causes any excessive damage to the facility that I will be asked to pay for repairs within reason.

I understand that if my dog is not spayed and begins a heat cycle, they will not be allowed to be boarded until the heat cycle is finished.

I further understand that if my dog shows any signs of aggression towards other dogs, that their acceptance for over night boarding will be re-evaluated. They will be given between 1 and 3 chances, depending on the situation surrounding the aggression before they are forbidden to be boarded.

Human aggressive dogs, or dog aggressive dogs, will not be allowed to stay at Playful Paws for over night boarding.

As a responsible pet owner, I promise to keep my dog(s) up-to-date on all vaccines, including bordetella and rabies, and all other municipal required vaccines. It is required by Playful Paws that you provide official updated records from a veterinarian before you are allowed to attend daycare/over night boarding.

Playful Paws is not responsible for informing you of due dates on vaccines nor will Playful Paws provide vaccine records for any reason. Furthermore, when dog(s) vaccines are updated, a copy must be provided to Playful Paws in order for our records to stay updated, otherwise Playful Paws will assume that your pet(s) are not current on vaccines and will be asked not to attend daycare until 5 days after actual vaccines are administered.

BOARDING HOURS:

Overnight Boarding Rate as of January 1 2017

1 dog - $27.00 per night for the first 14 nights reducing to $24.00 per night for the duration of stay

2 dogs - $54.00 per night for the first 14 nights reducing to $52.00 per night for the duration of stay

3 dogs - $70.00 per night for the first 14 nights reducing to $68.00 per night for the duration of stay

OVERNIGHT BOARDING RESERVATIONS:

If you unable to book online please call to make reservations. There will be a contract to sign in upon arrival.

EMERGENCY:

In the event of an emergency, Playful Paws staff will first attempt to contact the owner, followed by an attempt to contact the emergency contact person listed. Playful Paws may also directly contact the veterinarian listed, or any emergency veterinarian of Playful Paws choice, if the circumstances are deemed such that immediate treatment is necessary. Playful Paws staff retains sole discretion in emergency matters, without liability, and the owner of the dog(s) agrees to promptly pay for all medical treatments received.

I certify that I have read and understand the policies of Playful Paws as set forth on the preceding pages and that I have read and understand the conditions and statement of this agreement.

I acknowledge and accept that all the above policies refer to daycare, as well as overnight stays, and this release serves as accepting these conditions for both services.
